2014-15 CBFO Season Concludes, New Era Beginning

As we are more than a month removed from the 2014-2015 CBFO Madness Tournament, we wanted to thank everyone who was involved in making 2015 one of the best years of CBFO basketball ever! We had a record number of players in our league and as well as a record number of teams in each age division. Without all of the parents and players, this season would not have been possible, and for that we are extremely thankful for each and every one of you. We would also like to thank all of the coaches who volunteered their time to teach their respective team , not only the game of basketball, but life skills that they can take with them as they grow up and get older. Without all of our coaches, our league would not be possible, and we are grateful for all of you that volunteered your time to coach. We hope that everyone had an enjoyable experience and will return to make 2015-2016 CBFO Basketball season even better!

Next, a new era of basketball is beginning in CBFO. This year, for the first time, we are continuing our basketball season into the spring! We are introducing our brand to the travel basketball circuit. CBFO Select is the new name for that brand, and has already began competing in area tournaments. CBFO SELECT is a highly competitive Spring basketball team for 12u boys. The team was established in 2015 to compete in state-wide basketball tournaments. This year, we are fielding one team, a 12U/6th Grade Boys team coached by CBFO Basketball Committee member David Vaught and assistant Tim Motley. The 6th Grade finished 3rd place in their first ever tournament, which is very good for a first year team. Next year we hope to grow CBFO Select to several teams. The main focus the CBFO Select brand is to continue to teach the fundamentals of basketball to our youth, while giving them a better taste of competition that is out there by traveling around to various tournaments.
